While holding down corporate executive positions, Harold began his writing career, studying fiction and non-fiction writing, screenwriting, acting, television and film production, taking on opportunities to be on the set of television and movie shoots—to learn alternative mediums of storytelling.

He also studied the producer side of the film and television business, and received the Gerri Cook Memorial Award for the Most Promising Producer; and has worked as a contract producer.

To date, Harold has written more than seven award-winning feature length screenplays and teleplays, garnering recognition in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Australia, Sweden, Mexico and Spain, including the Action on Film International Film Festival, Barcelona International Film Festival, Mountain Film Festival, WILDsound Festival, Harlem International Film Festival New York City, Las Vegas Film Festival, Yosemite International Film Festival, TrindieFest, Catalina Film Festival, Williamsburg International Film Festival, International Independent Film Awards, Bare Bones International Film and Music Festival, Honolulu Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, Mexico International Film Festival, NexTV Entertainment, Los Angeles Movie Awards, The World Series of Screenwriting, Indie Producer, Key West IndieFest, and Teluride IndieFest.
