Synopsis
In the summer of 1962 a trailer park kid on the prairies buries his emotional pain by fantasizing about his Viking heritage until he meets a warrior princess who helps him become a young man.

Excerpt
ERIC (11) of Norwegian descent, meets newly arrived resident, ALEX (13), Native American, for the first time in the summer of 1962. He tells her he has never met anyone like her before.
ALEX walks up to ERIC and is in his face. She pecks him on the cheek and flashes a flirtatious grin. ALEX Now you kissed one. ERIC I didn’t — Eric blushes. ALEX Gotta run. Maybe you can show me your sword sometime and I’ll show you my feather. Eric is puzzled.
